ORGANIZATION: SENIOR CHARITY CARE FOUNDATION

Change the lives of elders in need
Here's our Development coordinator, Rose Gelin, helping two seniors fill out applications at one of our Senior Socials.

Senior Charity Care Foundation (SCCF) is looking for a few good people who want to give back to the greatest generation and obtain real-world experience through services to seniors. Members will represent the Senior Charity Care Foundation to ensure that they obtain critical healthcare needs. Part-time and full-time positions available. Monthly stipend and healthcare provided. Members must live and work in the state of Utah, pass a background check, and attend a required pre-service orientation.

About SENIOR CHARITY CARE FOUNDATION

Location:

PO BOX 744, KAYSVILLE, UT 84037, US

Mission Statement

The mission of the Senior Charity Care Foundation is to improve the quality of life for elders in need. Our Foundation helps elders (age 55+) in need of items not covered by Medicaid or Medicare, such as dental care/dentures, hearing aids, and eyeglasses.

Description

SCCF was created with the express purpose of providing financial assistance to low-income seniors in subsidized housing, assisted living or skilled nursing facilities who require healthcare and preventative services over and above those covered by Medicaid or Medicare.

These seniors live at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, do not have the ability to pay the additional expenses of these services, and have exhausted all other potential funding. They are often faced with the shocking dilemma of having to choose between paying for rent and food or paying for healthcare. Through SCCF’s programs and services, we carry out our work to empower seniors in our communities to live healthier, fulfilled lives by providing access to affordable oral, vision and auditory healthcare.
