There will be a whole bunch of varying responsibilities for a PL volunteer:
- Signing up new members
- Assisting with really fun on and off-site events
- Checking out toys/games for members to take home
- Checking in toys/games that members return and cleaning before they’re returned to the floor
- Maintaining a clean space - various cleaning tasks may be posted for volunteers
- Assisting guests with snack/beverage bar and gift shop purchases
- Giving mini tours of our mini Cincinnati Toy Museum
- Helping guests locate toys/games to enjoy in and out of the space
- A Player should promote a safe and fun environment for all our guests. Show a kiddo something new, get down on the floor and play with them (or up if they are abnormally tall) and genuinely have fun!

Description
Play Library is a game and toy lending library that is free to play in.
While Play Library is, at its core, a simple lending library, it’s really much more than that. We:
Provide safe, quality toys and games to children and families of all socio-economic levels.
Promote creativity, confidence and development through positive play.
Promote environmental practices by sanitizing and reusing/recycling toys.
Advance children’s sense of responsibility through praise and reward.
Support families, parents and caregivers and encourage them to spend time playing with their children...and each other.
Disseminate information and promote discussion on the importance of play.
Host family and friend game-nights, events, and parties.
Create a stronger community.
And finally, provide Emergency 24/7 toy hospital care. Bring your toy in and our skilled toy docs will do their very best to fix it. If it simply cannot be fixed, you may choose to add it to the Play Library toy parts department. We’ll host regular events where you come and make new toys out of toy parts!
