ORGANIZATION: Historic Milwaukee, Inc.

Historic Milwaukee is seeking two college interns to help with our programs, events, and tours in spring 2018.

Work with Special Events Director and Executive Director to help with logistics and promotion of Historic Milwaukee’s programs and special events including:

  • Social media promotion on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • Website content on Word Press
  • Clerical support
  • Data entry
  • Historic research
Work with Tour and Membership coordinator on walking tour scripts
  • Help edit existing scrips
  • Promote tours via social media
  • Help promote events and merchandise at Historic Milwaukee’s Milwaukee themed gift shop

Description

Historic Milwaukee, Inc. was started in 1974 and is the only nonprofit provide of historic walking tours and related educational programming in metro Milwaukee. Our largest event, Doors Open, is held the 4th weekend of September and draws more than 35,000 people. Other events include Spaces & Traces, walking tours and lectures.
