Volunteer at the Peoria PlayHouse Children's Museum for Celebrate Peoria: Christmas Around the World! Christmas is celebrated by Christians of various ethnic backgrounds here in Central Illinois. Assist with family friendly activities as visitors learn about how the holiday is celebrated across cultures, from Mexican Posadas to German Christmas trees.
Volunteers are need to help set up the event, assist with activities and offerings, and to clean up after the event.

The fundamental responsibilities of the Park District are:
*to provide Peoria area residents with opportunities for wholesome recreational activities, high quality facilities and a wide variety of programs to aid in satisfying diverse interests.
*conserve the natural resoursces of Peoria for the enjoyment of today's residents, as well as future generations. This includes restoration of natural and open spaces in older sections of the city.
*to be the guardian of a quality environment for Peoria area residents while encouraging the restoration, conservation, and preservation of aesthetic values in the community.
