Physiocare Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers to play an important role in the last stages of someone’s life. Having social and friendly interactions are known to extend the life and easy the suffering of those with terminal illnesses. Volunteering to be a friendly visitor, or a phone companionship volunteer will create memories to last you the rest of your life.
As a friendly visitor your job is to keep company those in the last stages of their life. You share your passions with the person you’re visiting! You can play music, play cards, read books, even just sit and quietly appreciate the other’s company. Learn something new about someone you might never have met before, gain life experiences, and make a lasting impact on those left behind!
Volunteer with Physiocare today!
Volunteer duties include:
- Assisting the clients with fun activities
- Listening and conversing with the client
- Speaking with the family of the client
- Recording any changes in the client’s condition

We offer emotional and spiritual support for the family during this stressful time through our social work and chaplain services. We offer caregivers some relief and peace of mind, knowing our skilled staff are providing their loved ones with the best quality of life each day. Bereavement groups are offered to caregivers and family members who need help dealing with grief over the death of their loved one. We offer volunteer services for patients and caregivers who need an extra hand with help around the house and companionship.

Physiocare Hospice is locally owned and is committed to serving our communities here in central Indiana. We give to and participate in many local events, service projects and fundraisers that benefit many great charitable organizations.
Quick Patient Admissions:
Time is of the essence when your terminally ill loved one is ready for hospice. We make it a priority to meet with patients and caregivers the same day or at their earliest convenience to evaluate and admit the patient.
Continuous Care:
Toward the final moments of life patients require more vigilance. We offer continuous care for patients and caregivers who need more attention during these final hours.
