Music is one of the many therapeutic art forms that are used to promote total well-being within patients, families, and caregivers. It allows patients to form bonds with those who share their love for a particular song, their favorite artist or style of music. Music creates an environment where patients can explore their emotions and reflect on life. It promotes a more positive outlook on the end-of-life journey.

Caring Hospice of South Jersey seeks volunteers to bring the healing power of music to patients by singing, playing an instrument or just listening to music with them in their private homes, nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Volunteers visit a few hours per month and have flexibility in scheduling. Opportunities are available in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties.

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. Become a Caring Hospice of South Jersey Music Volunteer and use your gift of music to bring joy to the life of a hospice patient
