You can make a profound impact on the lives of our community’s vulnerable children. As an Amara volunteer, your skills and experiences will help us meet the needs of our kids and families every day.
The first step to get started as an Amara volunteer is to attend one of our upcoming Volunteer Information Meetings held at the Amara office in Seattle.

Amara offers a variety of different opportunities for volunteers who are 21 years or older. We are dedicated to providing child-focused training and ongoing support to help you feel confident in your role.
Amara Volunteer Meetings are usually held twice a month at the Amara office.

Since 1921, Amara has been dedicated to meeting the needs of children and families in our community. We partner with people and communities most impacted by our child welfare system to address trauma, build connections, and ultimately ensure all children, adults, and families feel safe and supported, with a commitment to equity every step of the way. Amara believes in the power of families, and we have a vision to transform our child welfare system into a family well-being system. Amara is a nonprofit 501(c)3.
