Animal Rescue Supplies Coordinator
Do you love to organize? Do animals make your heart sing? Put your skills to good use by volunteering with Pet Haven to manage and organize a drive-in storage unit stocked with pet supplies (food, collars, leashes, litter, crates, etc) located in St. Louis Park. Pet Haven relies on the generosity of local businesses and individuals who donate supplies to help our foster animals in need.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of supplies volunteers to organize and collect donations throughout the Twin Cities (1-2 times/month)
- Help to keep the storage units organized by coordinating "clean out days" at the shed
- Help deliver supplies (as needed) to foster families and adoption events throughout the Twin Cities
- Work in tandem with Adoption Event Coordinators (dog and cat divisions) to secure and distribute supplies at adoption events
- Assist in soliciting new donors for Pet Haven’s supplies
- Train supplies volunteers in managing inventory and hosting supplies "open hour" at the storage unit 3-4 times/month
Qualifications
- This position requires a volunteer who has access to a reliable vehicle and is willing to commit approximately 4-8 hours/month.
- Volunteer must be able to lift at least #40 (pet food can be heavy!) and be organized.

Pet Haven Inc. of Minnesota [a 501(c)(3) charitable organization] rescues and re-homes cats and dogs, spays and neuters to reduce overpopulation, promotes responsible guardianship through educational programs, and advocates on behalf of companion animals.
Description
Pet Haven operates an adoption program for homeless cats and dogs. We use a network of volunteer foster homes to care for the animals in our adoption program. The cats and dogs receive thorough veterinary care including a spay/neuter, their needs are assessed by the foster homes, and then suitable permanent homes are found for them. Pet Haven carefully screens all adoptive homes and charges adoption fees for the cats and dogs placed through our program.
Pet Haven was founded in 1952. We are an all-volunteer organization. We do not have a shelter. All animals are cared for in our foster homes. We are a limited admission foster-based rescue and actively promote spaying & neutering to reduce companion animal overpopulation.Pet Haven Inc. of Minnesota's vision is to be a rewarding place to volunteer, to find a quality home for each animal, to encourage a community of responsible companion animal guardians, to eliminate the community's need to euthanize dogs and cats as a means of population control, and to encourage a society where animals become more valued.
