Mock Interviewers will conduct 15 to 20 minute practice interviews with ESL students in the classroom. All materials will be provided prior to the event as well as a brief training for all volunteers. The interviewers will provide feedback, advice, and guidance to help immigrants pursue better jobs.
Many immigrants held prestigious jobs in their home countries but struggle to translate their experience or skills when they come to the United States. Our work helps to prepare and guide them for applying and interviewing for jobs in the US.

Description
English for New Bostonians (ENB) is a public-private-community collaboration addressing the urgent need for increased English language learning opportunities for adult immigrants in Boston. Comprised of the City of Boston, foundations, corporations, non-profits, and community organizations, ENB works to support high-quality, accessible ESOL programs; to expand Boston’s capacity to serve English language learners; to test new strategies to reach learners at home, in the community, and at work; to encourage new investment by diverse stakeholders; to heighten awareness about the importance of adult English language learning; and to support the development of a coordinated ESOL system in Boston.
