The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) is in search of volunteers to help assist adults and children with visual impairments in skiing and snowboarding. NWABA will be hosting a ski and snowboard clinic at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort, alongside their adaptive sports program. We are looking for volunteers who have experience either skiing or snowboarding, and are interested in learning more about how they can help. The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes [NWABA] enriches lives and provides opportunities for children, youth, adults and veterans who are visually impaired. When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.
