Mission Statement
As a strength-based organization, Neighborhood Self-Help by Older Persons Project's (SHOPP) mission is based on the philosophy of self-help and mutual assistance. We believe that older people are resilient, that they are capable of helping themselves and others improve their capacity to deal with the physical, emotional, social and financial challenges they face as they age. We are currently looking for volunteers to enhance the lives of homebound seniors known to our Case Management program and assist with the Friendly Visiting program initiative.
