Please come join us and become one of our community outreach event volunteers. We have some really fun engaging events coming up in 2018, that we need many hands to help plan and put on. They will really mean so much to our community and our citizens participating.
Some of the opportunities include our first ever Jones County Senior Beauty event (remember beauty is from within) and Valentines dance to be held for seniors in the greater Jones county area in February. From start to finish we need lots of folks to help. Sounds like lots of fun!
We will be hosting a health fair in the spring again, an opportunity to make a difference right here in our own community.
We have a whole list of opportunities we need help with.
No matter what your talent is, from marketing, to decorating, to sending out invites, to helping at the events, to contacting sponsors and the press, we need you and your talents.....
By joining us as a Deaconess Hospice volunteer, and working with these projects you will be directly helping our patients and families with needed expense like electricity that they might not be able to afford.
Additionally, we are so proud to be a part of the Jones County community here and want to be sure to give back to this community as much as we can.

When you or someone you love is living with a terminal illness, quality of life matters more than ever. At Deaconess Hospice of Laurel, our dedicated hospice professionals help our patients across Southern Mississippi live as fully and comfortably as possible in the final stages of life.
Hospice care is centered on the effective management of pain and other symptoms of end-stage illness. We deliver physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to our patients and their family members.
Volunteers are in intergal part of our organization. Caring for the terminally ill is a labor of love that requires a special person with just the right touch. If you have a passion for helping others, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. You can make a profound difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life. Whether you contribute your time and talents directly with patients or prefer to work behind the scenss, we invite you to become a member of a dedicated group of compassionate caregivers who serve as vital members of our hospice team.
