ORGANIZATION: HILL COUNTRY CRISIS COUNCIL INC

Multiple opportunities to assist us in healing the minds, bodies and souls of those affected by violence.
Hill Country Crisis Council assists those affected by child sexual abuse, human trafficking, intimate partner violence, as well as sexual assault. We have an emergency shelter, counseling facility and a children's advocacy center in Kerrville, as well as outreach offices for counseling and advocacy in Bandera, Fredericksburg and Boerne.
We have multiple opportunities, some of which are:

Client Advocate Assistant:
Location: Shelter or Fredericksburg office
Training: 20 hour Advocate training, shelter tour
Qualifications: Strong communication skills, some human services background
Description: Advocate Assistant will be responsible for supporting Client/Shelter Advocate in working with client on protective orders, Crime Victims Compensation Program, job seeking, housing applications, clerical duties, some light research for resources.

Shelter Receptionist:
Location: Shelter in Kerrville
Training: Shelter tour, 8 hour advocate training
Qualifications: Reception or customer service experience, good communication skills
Description: Occupy the front desk, answer phone, answer door, check residents in and out, light office duties such as copying, printing, organizing, assist clients as necessary

Shelter Inventory Manager:
Location: Shelter in Kerrville
Training: Shelter tour, 8 hour advocate training, some food safety training
Qualifications: General love for organizing and labeling!
Description: Inventory is kept on hand for client needs and shelter needs such as clothing, toiletries, toys, household goods, pantry items, cleaning supplies, etc. Managers will weekly, or more often as necessary, sort through and store donations, label new inventory, rotate frozen food, pantry items, inventory toiletries for supply levels, etc. Some client contact will occur. Lifting will be required, and at times working in the garage which is not climate controlled. Great opportunity to partner with a friend that loves to organize and that you love to hang out with!

Hill Country Crisis Council offers victims of domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault a multitude of services. We have an emergency shelter, a children's advocacy center, prevention programs in area schools, counseling and advocacy services, hospital accompaniment as well as working with area law enforcement and district courts in hopes of providing justice to the victims.
