The YMCA Mentoring program is designed to build a better future for youth, by helping them reach their fullest potential through the support of caring adults.

Mentors are matched one to one with area youth to help them achieve their goals, improve self-esteem, increase school performance and positive relationships. Mentors are friends, counselors, role models, supporters, and guides.

Mentors must be at least 21 years old and willing to commit to 1-3 hours a week over the course of a year. A background check and training will be required of all mentors. A criminal record does not necessarily exclude you from mentoring.
