CrowdDoing Volunteer: CrowdDoing Expert Finance Volunteer: Impact Finance data analysis
www.advancesocialinnovation.org/crowddoing
Job descriptionOnly 8% of social enterprises are at growth-stage and beyond (with more than 100
employees). CrowdDoing completed the impact assessment for a mini-IPO of a social enterprise, Arcimoto (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2QfhAjsxaIGU2hRNXk1QVVxUVE/view) his creates a mismatch between the needs of social
enterprises and the behavior of impact investors. The vast majority of social
enterprises are at seed stage or venture stage. But impact investors direct
89% of their capital to post-venture, grow-stage social enterprises and large,
established, publicly-traded social enterprises. For-profit social
enterprises with high potential impact have had very limited access to
volunteers. Until now there has been no mechanism for individuals in the
general public to grant their own time to help change the world by increasing
the chances that fledgling social enterprises can bring transformative
social innovations to market. CrowdDoing was created to provide such a
mechanism. Studies show that in addition to raising less capital than their
traditional venture-backed startup peers, social enterprises have less access
to expertise relevant to their needs than their startup peers do.
We need CrowdDoing Volunteers who are Impact Finance data analysis volunteers to help the social enterprise sector. We need strong finance data analysis volunteers for business plans, impact investing, future financial needs analysis. We are creating virtual finance data analysis volunteer opportunities of people who want to volunteer for 100 hours over the next 6 months who plan to make a 3 hour period available one day a week for most weeks to help Advance Social Innovation create accounting processes and procedures for stage 2 and stage three of CrowdDoing"s work, scenario plan, identify finance data analysis volunteers needs for partners of the initiative to ensure compliance with ASI goals of helping social enterprises, fundraising planning, for them, and helping them to grow through service learning. This is to help Advance Social Innovation- www.AdvanceSocialInnovation.org. This will help social enterprises find a way to their next level through both expertise and tax benefits. Expertise is provided by volunteers engaging in extending service learning, interdisciplinary public problem solving and creating impact in communities as a consequence. We're early in our work and need a lot of help both helping social enterprises and getting our institution to the next level of scale of capacity so that we can have the impact we are seeking to have. But we need people with a vast variety of talents to seize micro leadership opportunities. We've learned from the Success of Open Source by Stephen Weber that volunteerism works best when an individual can identify something that they can do really well that they really want to work on and then get out of their way until their work needs to cross reference with the whole. We try to learn from that by mixing auto-didacts and highly qualified professionals in inter-disciplinary volunteer cohorts working to help social enterprises thrive. Help us help the social enterprise movement to thrive stronger than it has before.Impact Finance data analysis volunteers are able to help us evaluate the impact potential of each social enterprise vis a vis the Sustainable Development Goals and the SDG specific impact finance gaps that exist vis a vis that social enterprise.
