American Youth Table Tennis seeks interested college students in the New York City Metro Area to teach high school students the sport of table tennis, leadership, fair play, respect and teamwork. Table Tennis expertise required.
As a volunteer coach you will receive a small per visit stipend per visit to cover transportation costs and effort. We will assign you to a New York City High School Table Tennis Program as an Assistant Table Tennis Coach. Duties will include, teaching basic and intermediate table tennis - footwork, serve, serve return, backhand, forehand, tactics, loop, loop drive as well as serving multi-ball and providing a positive and exciting framework for play, and dialog.
American Youth Table Tennis and New York City Department of Education have teamed up to make this opportunity available to you. Table Tennis is an official varsity sport in New York City. We will be accepting applications in November and through to the end of January. We are in need of expert collegiate table tennis players to assist in selected High School Programs for the 2017-18 season which begins in December and Continues through March 2018
As an Assistant Coach, you will be giving back to the New York City community by imparting your table tennis knowledge on receptive and interested high school students. This program will look good on your resume and will help the next generation of collegiate table tennis players.
