Ready When the Time Comes Program Lead Volunteer assists in coordinating all aspects of the Red Cross of Hawaii’s Ready When the Time Comes program. Intern will work with the Senior Volunteer Specialist to increase the Red Cross’ capacity to serve its mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of community volunteers through partnerships with local businesses, clubs, and organizations.
Tasks Include:
Outreach: Overseeing and supporting the growth of Ready When the Time Comes Program through networking, marketing, recruitment and the production and dissemination of high quality, multimedia collateral
Networking: Representation of ARC at a variety of social, networking, and community events in addition to presentations
Training: Pre and post training implementation and tasks
Data: Aiding in the construction, collection, and synthesis of program data
Requirements:
A minimum of 16 weeks at 8-10 hours in-office each week
Demonstrated interest in disaster services and/or humanitarian affairs
Fluency in written and spoken English
Passion for community building and partnerships
Practical experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
Ability to represent the American Red Cross professionally and positively

This is an unpaid internship. Interns will have access to all American Red Cross trainings, community events, and programs.
