Each month we pack bags for approx. 5,000 seniors. Typically, these bags are packed the last 3 days of the month because distribution begins the 2nd week of the following month. Bags feature about 10 canned and boxed food items for our seniors.

The mission of the Capital Area Food Bank is to create access to good, healthy food in every community.
Description
The Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) is the largest, public, nonprofit food and nutrition education resource in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Through a network of over 700 member feeding programs, the CAFB distributed nearly 20 million pounds of food last year. The CAFB also educates thousands of local residents on hunger, nutrition and poverty issues.
