Becoming a VETERAN VOLUNTEER is a wonderful opportunity for Veterans to visit, share stories and give back to our Veteran hospice patients.

Even brief visits mean a great deal to patients and their family members.

Flexible schedules and training dates are available.

MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF PATIENTS!!!

Volunteers are an integral part of the AccentCare (formerly Texas Home Health Hospice) team, providing compassion and care when it is needed most. As the heart and hands of the hospice team, they provide a special kind of caring to patients, families, and staff through helping to make the hospice experience manageable and rewarding.

Men, women, and young people of all ages and backgrounds can volunteer in a variety of roles.

Volunteer as:

  • Patient/Family Care Volunteer
  • Office/Administrative Volunteer
  • Pet Therapy Volunteer
  • Bereavement Volunteer
  • Veteran Volunteer
  • Reiki Volunteer
  • Music Therapy Volunteer

ALL POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. *** ALL POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS MUST UNDERGO A BACKGROUND CHECK, TAKE A TB TEST, DRUG TESTING AND ORIENTATION/TRAINING PRIOR TO START***
(ALL TESTS AND SCREENINGS ARE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE VOLUNTEER).
