We are in need 8 volunteers to assist with a Mobile Food Distribution at the Ford Resource and Engagement Center at Fisher Upper Academy at 15491 Maddelein Street, Door #13, Detroit, MI 48205.
Volunteers are needed to set-up distribution signs on opposite ends of the Fisher Campus and one marking the entrance of the distribution. Set up tents over seating areas.
1-2 individuals manage the sign in sheets. Engage customers to determine how they heard about the event.
6 individuals to work as the packers of the distribution food.
Volunteers will also be helping with clean-up!
This event is outside and volunteer will need to dress accordingly.

For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
