From January through April, United Way volunteers offer free, walk-in tax preparation assistance.
Volunteer intake and benefits specialists greet clients, help with paperwork, and connect clients to additional support, such as financial counseling and public benefits.
Volunteer intake and benefits specialists (VIBS) must complete one full day of training to learn the intake procedure for clients, how to screen for benefits eligibility, and how to refer clients to benefits and financial resources.

Description
SACDC HISTORY
The San Antonio Community Development Corporation (SACDC), was incorporated on July 9, l980 as a nonprofit organization. The membership is comprised of small business owners or managers, professionals, residents, and community oriented persons who live or own businesses in the San Antonio District.
The San Antonio CDC is an outgrowth of the neighborhood's local community development district council. It was developed as an avenue to promote and facilitate community economic development activities, i.e., to produce affordable housing, to revitalize neighborhood commercial districts, and to assist local entrepreneurs in the provision of services to their community.
