We are looking for support group leaders!
Share your lived experience with schizophrenia and related disorders with group members as they embark on the journey of recovery. Form a Schizophrenia Alliance (SA) group in your town. SA is a free volunteer-led signature program of Schizophrenia And Related Disorders Alliance of America (SARDAA), and SA groups are located nationwide and internationally. You will be provided materials, such as brochures about SA and SARDAA, the Blue Book, which provides information and an agenda for meetings, and the Group Leader Manual. Also, as a SA group leader, you can participate in our monthly Spirit of SA teleconference call, where experienced SA group leaders can answer your questions and give you advice.

Our Vision: Every person with schizophrenia or a related disorder (mental illness involving psychosis) achieves recovery and a full life in a compassionate community free of stigma and discrimination. Our Objectives: Promote hope and recovery for persons living with schizophrenia and related disorders. Eliminate the stigma and myths about schizophrenia Raise awareness so that early diagnosis and treatment increase the chance for recovery Ensure that consumer-driven and recovery-oriented services are fully accessible
Description
SARDAA administers: Schizophrenics Alliance (SA) and Families for Care (FFC) peer/self-help support groups; a national information and support line; provides up to date information via website, blog, newsletter, other social networking; promotes personal stories of recovery and hope; a speaker's bureau of people with expertise about living with the brain illness, family issues and support for care professionals. Our focus is on providing materials and information that will assist people in their own personal journey in living with the illness.
Schizophrenia and Related Disorders Alliance of America (SARDAA), has been designated a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and is working to help this underserved population and their families.
