ORGANIZATION: Uhuru Pies

Are you a people person? Like to be outdoors? Come help us sell our scrumptious homemade pies at our outdoor pop-up pie tables in Oakland, SF and Berkeley. We will be outside of several different Peets Coffees and Safeways. You will work with one of our pie table coordinators to hand out pie tasters to people walking by, help sell pies to people who stop by the table and basically interact with the public. Again, no sales experience necessary and we train you on the spot!

Uhuru Foods & Pies is one of the economic institutions of Black Star Industries and it is about putting the means to grow, produce and distribute fresh food into the hands of African people. The ultimate goal of UFP is for Africans to control their own land, farms, trucking, baking, cooking and distribution of food, none of which African people are currently able to carry out on a large scale inside the U.S., Africa or anywhere in the world today. This is what prosperity and and self-determination for present and future generations of African people worldwide looks like.

Here are the dates and shifts for our pop up pie tables:

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18 - 9AM-1PM OR 11AM-3PM

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18 - 9AM-1PM OR 11AM-3PM
