The Garden is filled with many rare and endangered plants and trees that do not naturally occur anywhere else in the world. Help us to keep the garden beautiful and healthy, become a Friend of the Point Loma Native Plant Garden.

About

The San Diego River Garden is in Mission Valley right at the edge of the River. This garden showcases native varietals and low water use plants. It is sure to inspire with showy colors, fragrant blooms, and bird and butterfly attractors!

Join us for a San Diego River Garden Work Park as we care for this wonderful native plant garden! Volunteers of all ages can assist with watering, weeding, trail maintenance, litter removal, trimming, and more. Your work will help to keep this special place beautiful for visitors and maintain native habitats for birds, insects, and lizards.

All tools and supplies provided. No experience needed. Community service hours can be verified. Please dress in gardening clothes. Closed-toe shoes are required.
