ORGANIZATION: MSHH Donor Closet

MSHH Donor Closet

We are associated with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and are entirely run by volunteers. We accept used medical equipment and, after inspecting and cleaning, place it on the floor with a suggested donation price tag.

We need a couple of people who can drive and assist the driver of our Sprinter van to pick up and deliver medical and mobility equipment. Specifically, we need one more driver and two people willing to assist the drivers. We need additional bodies to cover the desk and phones, greet customers, manage stock and to clean used equipment before it goes on the floor.

We are also looking for volunteers who can change batteries, replace parts and make adjustments to scooters, power chairs, wheel chairs and other mobility equipment. You don't need any specific background in this type of equipment - just ordinary mechanical and electrical aptitude and a desire to do some good in the world while working with your hands in a very pleasant atmosphere.

Our hours are 10-3, Tuesday through Saturday.

This is some of the most rewarding volunteer work you will find.
