Have you or a loved one been affected by the disease of Addiction? Are you aware of the opioid epidemic that is threatening every neighborhood in our community? Do you wonder what you can do to aid in this fight to eliminate stigma about addiction and provide prevention initiatives to our youth?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then we have a role for you at the Lakes Area Community Coalition. We are looking for Strategic Planning volunteers for our organization.

Strategic planning is the process of setting a vision for a company, and realizing that vision through small, achievable goals. We need your help in setting goals and deciding what actions need to be taken to achieve our goals.

Activities include:

Attendance at Strategic Planning meetings as scheduled.

Brainstorming with other community members to identify and implement prevention programs for our youth.

Community Outreach - communicate with local businesses, faith based organizations and other key stakeholders to help spread awareness about our coalition and the disease of addiction.

Participation for activities is at each volunteer's discretion and based on availability. Any time volunteered is appreciated.

When possible, attendance at various community outreach events including public informational forums, town hall meetings, school events and more.

When possible, attendance at our monthly Board meetings on the 4th Monday of each month in Walled Lake.

Currently we are also looking for people to do data entry, engage the media and plan fund raising and other community events. We need grant writers, social media gurus and photographers too! Please tell a friend of about the numerous opportunities with our organization.
