Volunteers will help tutor/mentor students as well as participate in games/activities!
The Afterschool Program is from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Monday through Thursday. Students in the program range 7 to 14 years old and there are 15 students on average. The after school program is located in UNI’s headquarters, the All Saints Neighborhood Center. The first half of the after school program focuses on "homework help," and the second half for "enrichment activities" and games. UNI will work with volunteers and volunteer groups to ensure the activities are appropriate!
1-on-1 Hopes:
UNI believes that reoccurring and personalized tutoring is critical to the development of a young person’s education. For this reason, and many others, UNI is recruiting regular volunteer groups to work with our students. Regularity breeds stability and stability leads to growth; we hope to have volunteer groups will be able to come in one day a week to work with our students. However, we value all volunteers so if you are interested please reach out!
Potential volunteers do not need to attend the full 3 hours, we accommodate to volunteer needs.
**Bilingual skills are desired! Volunteers are required to complete a background check! **
