One big problem for non-profits is that, although the work we do is vital and life-changing, how do we let keep our supporters up on the work we are doing in a fun and interesting way? We would like to do tell one of our stories through a short animation. The story is about a woman whose life was changed by one simple thing and a tiny amount of money. The story is less about us and more about her hard work and drive to improve her own life. It is a different story from many of the stories we see and hear from non-profits and we would love your help in getting it heard. Are you an animator or a story board artist? Would you be willing to give up some of your time to help tell empowering stories about inspiring people and help change lives in Africa? If so we need your help. We are Drop in the Bucket. A Los Angeles based non-profit that drills water wells at schools in Africa that works with communities to give them a hand up rather than a hand out. The stories we see every day are important and many of the people we work with are strong and inspiring. We want to tell their stories and get their voices heard. Can you help?

Mission Statement
Drop in the Bucket’s mission is to assist community development in sub-Saharan Africa by building wells and sanitation systems at schools; thus enabling children, especially girls to get an education and realize their full potential. Since inception we have built over 350 wells.
Description
Everyday 10,000 children under the age of 5 die from water related illnesses and 80% of the diseases in developing countries are related to poor drinking water and sanitation.
Drop in the Bucket installs water wells and sanitation systems at large rural schools in sub-Saharan Africa. We are a registered 501(c)(3) not for profit that has installed over 350 wells in 7 countries.
Our premise is that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and in order for kids to get an education, their day-to day survival tasks need to be simplified especially when it comes to the access of resources whether these are material, natural or informational.
A cornerstone of our approach is low overhead and minimal operating costs. We are dedicated to guaranteeing our donors that as much of their hard-earned money goes into the program as possible.
