Big Brothers Big Sisters Pikes Peak, the Colorado Springs office of BBBS Colorado, is in the midst of its second year of mentoring high school students in the Springs community.

The Pikes Peak office has partnered with Atlas Preparatory School to mentor their students from freshman year through a successful graduation.

Mentor2.0 matches students from Atlas Preparatory School with college-educated mentors in the Colorado Springs community, providing the students with support and guidance through their high school career to prepare them for college, the workforce and the future. The majority of the mentorship is done over a secure online platform (iMentor), as a "pen pal mentorship" - this allows for busy professionals to flex their time-investment around their schedules. In addition, there are monthly events for in-person mentoring facilitated by Big Brothers Big Sisters. Volunteers must be 21 years old and have the equivalent credit hours of a two-year degree. Volunteers must also be willing to commit to the program for four years, as we try to make matches from freshman year through graduation - we want to the students to have a n example of consistency and commitment in their lives.
