Join us at rugged and beautiful Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge, critical habitat set aside for recovery of the endangered California Condor. We'll be modifying barbed-wire fence, replacing the top and bottom barbed wires with smooth, so wildlife can go over or under without injury. This allows wildlife the freedom to roam their historical foraging and breeding grounds, and restores wildlife populations to their natural habitat.

Back at the ranch, we'll enjoy a delish community feast, then head for home and a good night's sleep. This is fun and meaningful work in the otherwise-closed-to-the-public wildlife refuge.
