Archway Housing and Services Inc. is a non-profit organization that builds and manages affordable housing communities for low-income families in the Denver Metro area. We also provide on-site, free social and community services to all of our residents. We offer adult education classes, youth enrichment programing, and food bank services.
We are currently looking for a Youth Dance Teacher to teach about 10 elementary and junior high students one day a week for one hour from 4:30 -5:30 on either a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The youth are interested in many styles of dance, but prefer hip-hop and other modern styles. Most of the youth are immigrants from a variety of African countries, so the volunteer will need to be comfortable working with youth from other cultures. Many of the children are Muslim so religious sensitivity will be necessary as well. Our property is located roughly at Mississippi and Parker Rd in East Denver.
Archway is a wonderful organization providing valuable services to the most needy families in our communities! Please consider donating your time and talent to helping engage youth and teach them positive lessons and express themselves through dance! Thank you for your consideration.

Mission Statement
Archway Communities elevates lives by providing access to affordable housing, food security and the supportive social services people need to thrive.
Description
Archway Communities was founded with the belief that affordable housing is a crucial element in building healthy communities. In pursuit of that belief, we seek opportunities to purchase vacant land for new construction or renovate obsolete multifamily developments. Shortly after we were founded, we began to recognize that residents need more than affordable housing to stabilize their lives - many were struggling with challenges like food insecurity, recovering from chronic homelessness, unemployment, single parenting, obtaining citizenship, and others. Archway Communities instituted the Supportive Services Program- resident focused, on-site programming- to address the needs of those living in our communities beyond simply providing a roof over their heads.
