Do you have strengths or an interest in communication, networking, marketing, or youth outreach? Are you looking for opportunities to expand your resume?
If so, promote and represent Girl Scouts to girls, parents, and community members by hosting information tables at pre-arranged community events.
As a Bi-lingual Community Outreach Volunteer (English and Spanish), you’ll engage with the community and share about Girl Scouts programs to encourage more girls and families get involved.
Hours are flexible and based on your availability; after on-boarding, you will sign up for events based on your schedule. 3-month commitment, approximately 2-3 hours per event; frequency based on volunteer schedule.

- Strong oral communication skills
- Comfortable working respectfully with people of diverse cultures, abilities, personalities, ages and backgrounds
- Eager to make a difference in the lives of girls
Expectations
- Arrange to pick up table materials from Girl Scout offices (Balboa Park, Carlsbad, or Escondido) or from a staff member out in the community prior to your event.
- Arrive to event locations on time and with the necessary materials.
- Communicate effectively, engage with members of the community, and act as a friendly face to promote Girl Scouts.
Requirements
- Attend assigned online and/or in-person training.
- Affirm that the Girl Scout movement actively seeks members of every racial, ethnic, religious and socioeconomic group.
- Comply with Girl Scouts of the USA and Girl Scouts San Diego standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.
