About

Warehouse Volunteers

Do you want to help provide food to people who have a need? Do you like working behind the scenes, getting down and keeping it real? Then working in our Warehouse is perfect for you!

The Details:

Days: Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 - 2:30 p.m. or 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

How many: 1-2 each day and each shift

Job Duties: Accept donations from drivers; weigh the donations and place in appropriate coolers/freezers/shelves in Warehouse or Food Shelf - as directed by our Program Coordinator.

Supervised by: Caleb Mingus, our fabulous Program Coordinator!

Training: Ya sure, you betcha there will be training.

What do you need to bring? Smiles, strong muscles, willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds, willing to get dirty sometimes, willing to celebrate the glory that is food donations!! Yay food!! Oh yeah, and wear closed-toe, comfy shoes. It’s for health and safety reasons and it’s a concrete floor...

What’s in it for you? The knowledge that you will help feed people who come to shop at the Food Shelf on Monday morning, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings. HUGE!!!! You will make it happen! Acknowledgement from staff, volunteers and clients that you are a fabulous part of our team at Valley Outreach. Maybe make new friends and have fun while you work!

I’m in. Now what? Contact me, Suzanne Lindquist, Volunteer Manager at suzanne.lindquist@valleyoutreachmn.org or at 651-342-5559 and share that good news with me!

Thank you!
