[ Become an Event Volunteer to Help Astoria Cats! ]
We host an event table every weekend at different locations in Astoria. This a perfect opportunity for our Junior Volunteers-from elementary school through high school-and even for college students! We hand out flyers and talk about the importance of spay/neuter and community cat care. If you love taking photos and videos for social media, we’d love to have you join us, too. Pets for Vets NYC-Long Island, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that rescues and professionally trains shelter dogs to provide companionship and emotional support for military Veterans with PTSD. We are 100% volunteer-run, and we are always looking for volunteers and fosters to help in Brooklyn/NYC and on Long Island, NY.
