Each year, the American Liver Foundation Desert Southwest Division hosts a family and dog friendly Liver Life Walk to unite the community and spend a great day outdoors! Funds raised from this event bring awareness to liver disease and provide financial support for our educational programs and patient services offered to the millions of Americans battling one of the 100 known liver diseases.
We are welcoming volunteers to join us on this fun day! The Liver Life Walk Phoenix & Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Steele Indian School Park Circle of Life. We will begin setting up that day at 6:30am and break everything down around 12pm. Throughout the day we will need help with: set up, food court, kid's activities, route set up & monitoring, registration, ALF table, engaging the walkers, start/finish line cheerleaders, and joining the walkers. We invite any talented volunteers to also help with: face painting, balloon twisting, mascots (have an elaborate costume left over from Halloween?), dance groups, stilt walkers, or any sort of family-friendly entertainment.
Please reach out if you are interested in joining us! It is a great opportunity for large groups, if you are looking for volunteer hours, team building for co-workers, or just helping out for a great cause with family and friends.
