ARE YOU INTERESTED IN AIRPORTS? DO YOU ENJOY BEING ABLE TO HELP PEOPLE? ARE YOU GREAT AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROBLEM SOLVING?
COME JOIN OUR VOLUNTEER TEAM AT THE DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!
Volunteers are needed to assist passengers throughout the airport by providing information about airlines, airport services, area destinations, access to social services, and other information. Using a warm and friendly personality, you can help welcome people to the DC area!
As a new volunteer, you will need to attend an orientation and be able to pass a fingerprint background check, making you eligible to receive an airport badge. There is a training process that can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks, depending on your availability.
Volunteers also have access to other perks, which include our bi-annual Travelers Aid Volunteer Celebrations, free economy lot parking for extended trips, and special events/tours that are promoted by the airport. We are a fun team of people with a passion for helping to aid travelers!

Mission Statement
To advance and support a network of human service provider organizations committed to assisting individuals and families who are in transition, or crisis, and are disconnected from their support systems.
Description
Travelers Aid has a rich history spanning three centuries, and diverse programming designed to meet the needs of stranded and disconnected people in each of its member communities. Although modes of transportation have changed over the years, the needs of travelers and disconnected persons have not. Today, mobility is crucial to the economy and to the American spirit of freedom and independence. The complexities of modern life make Travelers Aid more valuable today-and for more people-than when it first began.Travelers Aid International, based in Washington, D.C. is the national association for Travelers Aid agencies across the country. Supporting the Travelers Aid mission, TAI provides a myriad of services and assistance to member organizations in local communities nationwide, and also directly administers local programs (including the program at Dulles).
An active Board of Directors is drawn from member agencies, corporations, transportation-related organizations and associations, and those concerned with the provision of social services. TAI staff and the Board work together to safeguard and expand our core objective of directly aiding those disconnected from their support systems, in crisis, or in transition.
