ORGANIZATION: RSVP of San Mateo & Northern Santa Clara Counties

CSA provides ongoing Case Management and volunteer services to seniors living in the community in order to keep them living in the own homes and outside of institutional settings. Volunteers will provide transportation services to local grocery stores, banks, and doctors appointments for homebound seniors who are unable to drive. Primary locations will be Mountain View and Los Altos.

Job Responsibilies:
Provide ride to and from appointments as directed by the Senior Case Manager
Provide door to door assistance as needed
Stay with Client durring errand
Provide monthly records of volunteer hours
Attend one annual training session

Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of Mountain View/Los Altos area
Interest in working with elderly adults
Ability to keep confidential information
Backround check required
Must be 21+
Self directed ans reliable
CA drivers license and current minimum state required auto insurance

Time Commitment:
Minimum of 4 hours per month, flexible schedule.

We serve all of San Mateo County and the cities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View. Palo Alto, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills in Santa Clara County.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!

RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
