Join Neighborhood House for a unique volunteer opportunity distributing fresh fruits, vegetables, and other essential food items to families in need, even during winter months!
During the COVID-19 outbreak we are offering Fresh Produce Pickups, where families can pick up fresh fruit and vegetables by driving up in their cars or by walking up to the Metro State Parking Ramp.
THIS EVENT WILL BE OUTDOORS, IN A COVERED PARKING GARAGE. We will be outdoors to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission, and will require volunteers to dress accordingly for the weather.
We have two shifts for volunteers during the Fresh Produce Pickup:
Food Distribution Volunteer: Volunteers will sort and bag produce, distribute produce to families, and help clean up after the distribution ends.
Traffic Control Volunteer: Volunteers assist with directing traffic, and communicate traffic rules to participants driving to the distribution.
