Winter Lesson Volunteer Training

ORGANIZATION: Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding

Goya

Lesson Volunteer Training is for ages 13 and up. Lesson vols are responsible for helpling riders groom and tack their horse and then walk alongside them during the lesson. We ask that lesson vols commit to the same day and time each week for the duration of a session (8-10) weeks). This is so that the volunteer will work with the same rider, horse, equipment and instructor each week. Volunteers can also assist with other barn chores as needed. After volunteering for 1 session a volunteer can take an additional training to lead a horse during classes.

The training will happen rain or shine!
NO horse experience necessary!
Closed-toe shoes are a must!
Dress weather appropriate, we will be outside some!

Call the office, visit our website, or email the volunteer coordinator for more information or to sign up!
