Lawyers for Progress is a tax exempt non-profit organization seeking a part time Fundraising Coordinator. This applicant must be able to work with a team as well as individually, share the passion and ideas of the organization, communicate effectively, and maintain integrity. This is a part-time position and major fundraising events will be semi-annually initially, then more frequent. Virtual events will be bi-weekly and ongoing. The position is entirely virtual with flexible hours. it is initially a volunteer position as the organization is just gaining momentum but the opportunity to transition into a full-time paid position may be available in the future.
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct fundraising events semi-annually and virtual events as needed.
Work with volunteers for fundraising events.
Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events.
Execute a business plan for fundraising goals.
Generate virtual fundraising opportunities, participate in networking events and interact with prospective donors.
Must have at least 3 verifiable references.
Must have at least two years in fundraising and or sales.
Must have the ability to network, generate interest on social media and attend monthly staff meetings (virtual)
Qualifications and Skills
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in verbal and written skills
Genuine interest in fundraising and non-profit
Efficient customer service skills
Experience and interest in law and policy a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Bachelors degree or higher in marketing, business, communication or a related area
Fundraising, marketing or sales: 2 years
