Description
Bethesda Hospice Care Volunteers provide a caring presence for patients and their families during end-of-life. Our compassionate hospice volunteers read to patients, listen to their life stories, play music for them, show them pictures, hold their hand, pray with them, share their concerns with nurses and staff, provide a supportive presence, and much more!
Here's what Bethesda Hospice Volunteers have to say about their service:
"I enjoy sharing my time with residents. I sometimes sit quietly and just hold a hand."
"I am a good listener, and I provide a compassionate ear."
"I find that my caring presence and conversation provides comfort."
