Interested in saving lives? Then this class is for you. The High School Association of Medical Engineers and Scientists is offering students in grades 9-12 Advanced First Aid classes by the American Safety and Health Institute. HAMES’s mission is to train and certify individuals and to prepare them for medical situations they may encounter in their day-to-day lives. Advanced First Aid provides a much more in-depth view than Basic First Aid and provides an introduction to patient care, anatomy, principles of assessment, and covers many of the common illnesses and injuries responders are likely to encounter. Through the two-day (8 hour) course held at Monmouth County Library , students will receive a ASHI AFA certification card upon completion, as well as feel confident in saving a life. The class will be limited to a maximum of 20 students and both classes must be attended without exception. Classes will take place on November 4th and November 18th from 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm at 125 Symmes Dr, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726. To register, please visit:
