The Church of Good Deeds encourages and enables Altruism: everyone, everywhere, every day. Our mission is to grow into an international organization which organizes charitable events and connections, where Altruists can meet and bond over helping others.
We were founded in 2017 by Leon Feingold and Yuanyuan Wang, who found out she had terminal cancer the week after they got engaged. This charity was created as a way of paying forward on a grand scale the generosity they’d received after her diagnosis, from friends and strangers alike.
Organizationally, we have received our 501c3, have been holding successful events, and have garnered lots of goodwill and offers to help from the general public, but we need to build out our Board of Directors and Advisory Council with eager volunteers who have prior experience running charities. I fell into this because of my wife’s illness and passing, so it’s a passion project for me, but I don’t want to hinder the organization we founded due to our inexperience.
Seeking veteran Altruists wishing to help guide us into what promises to be an amazing global organization, who share our passion for helping others, and for building a culture of Altruism from the ground up.
In addition, ALWAYS seeking volunteers for planning and manning our events, which range from blood drives to clothing and shoe giveaways to community cleanups and everything in between.

Description
The House of Good Deeds (formerly the Church of Good Deeds) is a belief system with no deity and no dogma other than helping people help people: we believe in Altruism, and the power of each person to make a difference. We see ourselves as optimally positioned to appeal to the millions of people who have turned away from the superstition of traditional religion, but still want to experience and inspire positive change, celebrate without limitation, and connect with others via our culture of volunteerism and communal support.
There’s more to it than that, of course, but we think we’re at the start of something great here and would welcome volunteers who share our vision.
