Friendly Visitor

If you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference in people’s lives, consider becoming a Salus Hospice volunteer. Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients, their families, and their caregivers.

Ask any of our patients, and they’ll likely tell you the volunteers who visit them touch their hearts. They look forward to the visits and the compassionate caring volunteers bring. Are you the one that can brighten their day? If yes is your answer, please join our team!

Volunteer opportunities are located throughout San Diego, with a one-time training session required at our San Diego Office.

We will work with your schedule.

Requirements:

  • fill out all necessary paperwork for your file including a copy of your driver's license and auto insurance
  • attend a 4 hour training orientation
  • complete a background check
  • receive a TB test (unless you have had one in the past 6 months)
