Care for Friends are currently looking to recruit a team leader for our Thursday food service, to cover periodically throughout 2018.

Every Monday, Thursday and Saturday morning, Care for Friends serves a healthy, delicious meal to up to 100 homeless people. We pride ourselves on serving high quality food, and to provide an enjoyable experience for both our guests and our volunteers.

The role of team leader takes charge of the food service on the day. We start preparing a hot meal at 9am, with a group of volunteers, and serve the food to our guests at 12pm, finishing at 1pm. This is a fun, safe environment, and we are funded by donors and grants, with no government assistance. The team leader will manage the volunteers on the day, of which there are usually up to ten.

The team leader must have previous experience of working in food service, and ideally of leading teams. You must be available to make a regular commitment on Thursdays periodically throughout 2018, and into Spring 2019, and ideally be food sanitation trained. For interested applicants, there will definitely be the opportunity to volunteer at Care for Friends food service, before they take on the responsibility of team leadership.
