Come experience the joy of rock work! You are invited to serve with the Maine Conservation Corps at the Augusta Nature Education Center!

Time: 10:30AM - 4:30PM (You are welcome to come for the whole day, or drop in for a shorter period of time)

Learn how to quarry, crush, and set rocks to create stone staircases! Participants will get a chance to see and use a high-line setup for moving stone, as well as common tools for stone work. Depending on project needs, there may also be stone splitting demonstrations using a rock drill!

Help MCC enhance the community through conservation. Rain or shine be ready to serve, get dirty, and have a good time.

To Prepare:
* Bring work gloves
* Dress for the weather
* Wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts
* Rain gear highly recommended
* Wear clos ed-toe shoes (boots are preferred)
* Prepare to get dirty
* Bring snacks and lunch
* Bring at least 2 liters of water
