Harborview Medical Center is looking for volunteers to participate in a Mass Casualty Incident Disaster Drill. Volunteers will play the part of victims and may have make-up and/or fake blood applied. Volunteers will primarily be indoors but should dress in warm layers in case they are asked to go outside during the drill. The time commitment is 6 hours from 5am - 11am on November 8th. Volunteers will check in at the Harborview Volunteer Services office at 5am and then proceed to the Drill area. For volunteers who want to earn community service hours, a letter from the clinical director of the Emergency Department can be provided. A great opportunity to see the region's Level 1 Trauma Center in action and help us be prepared for a disaster.

We need many volunteers to make this a successful event, so please spread the word to anyone you think might be interested! Have them email us to sign up.
