A local high school is seeking mentors for their Engineering Design & Development class. Small groups of students are working on designing a product and presenting it (ideally with a prototype) toward the end of the schoolyear. Last year’s projects included a cost-effective EpiPen and a more ergonomic backpack.

This is a pretty simple mentorship commitment, with our volunteers last year joining students 1-2 times per month and judging their designs at the end of the project. If you have experience in product design, engineering, and project management, this may be a great fit for you--and a fun way to help students!
