Be a Community Friend to an individual with Developmental Disabilities and open new doors for community access, integration, and inclusion!

Volunteers are paired with an Individual for the purposes of hanging out together socially - grab a coffee together, see a movie, go out to eat - the possibilities are endless! Flexibility, low-commitment, and fun are the hallmarks of a Community Friend volunteer pairing.

Times and days are very flexible for this position. Male and female community friend volunteers are needed. Volunteers and individuals are paired based on interests, activities, geographic locations, and other factors.

The purpose of this position is to provide friendship to an adult with a developmental disabilities (like a Big Brother or Big Sister) and help the individual to explore community activities.
