We are looking for a dedicated, passionate individual to join us as a Marketing and Communications Chair on our Board of Directors.The individual must share a passion for our mission, and have an understanding of the commitment required of a working board. Prior Board experience preferred. Some of the requirements and tasks overseen by this position is as followed:
Skills/Experience:
* Attend monthly Board meetings on a regular and consistent basis
* Maintain & improve all website content * Maintain & develop social media presence * Oversee creation of all digital & print marketing materials * Manage newsletters with event highlights, major announcements & opportunities for fundraising/giving
* Other tasks as requested
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
* Personal commitment to the organization's goals and objectives. Must be dedicated to the environmental movement that We Are Nature strives for. * Professional experience in marketing, graphic design, web design, communications or related * Experience in nonprofit boards * Experience in Adobe Suites or other graphics programs * Experience in Wordpress * Experience in GSuite

Mission Statement
WAN has a mission to diminish the destructive effects of ocean pollution. An abundance of clean water is what provides the foundation for communities to prosper. Fish, birds, and all other wildlife depend on clean water to live, just as humans do. We strive to protect species and their habitats and to ensure that all people are protected from the harmful effects of water pollution on human health and our environment. We would like to help others live a more eco-friendly lifestyle, and educate them about how simple day to day tasks have an impact on our planet. Our website provides simple tips on how to help save our oceans. As students, we have observed that teens especially are not educated on the water crisis that our planet is facing. Our goal is to spread awareness throughout communities worldwide, and to inspire young leaders to make a difference.

WAN is a student led 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the earth and all of its inhabitants.
A clean environment ensures healthy living for our current and future generations. The more careless we are towards the environment, the more polluted it will become with toxins, which will one way or another impact all life on our planet.
